The Institute for Health Systems Research (IHSR) is thrilled to announce the release of "The COVID-19 Chronicles | Embracing Ripples: Coursing Forward," the sixth and final installation of the series that captures Malaysia's health systems response to the global pandemic, focusing on efforts in the year 2022.

At the launch event, IHSR Director, Dr. Sondi Sararaks, presented a small token of appreciation to the Director-General of Health, The Honourable Tan Sri Dato' Seri Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah who also launched the book, witnessed by the Deputy Director General for Research and Technical Support, Dato' Dr. Muhamad Radzi Bin Abu Hassan; NIH Manager Dr Zulkarnain bin Abdul Karim and Research Centre Heads from IHSR. The latest instalment provides a comprehensive analysis of Malaysia's healthcare system's approach to tackling the pandemic and how it responded to the unprecedented challenges it faced, two years on.

We are thankful to have the undying support of Tan Sri DG throughout our endeavour. The MAera team in IHSR have dedicated months of work to producing the concluding volume of the Chronicle. Titled "The COVID-19 Chronicles | Embracing Ripples: Coursing Forward", this book adds valuable insights into the ongoing fight against COVID-19 and serves as a documentation of the history of Malaysia’s health systems responses.
